Greetings from Gothenburg

Cubism by Nudie Jeans.

This large cube can be seen in the main entrance of the department store PUB in Stockholm.
The installation is made out of 150 pairs of jeans, and has the size of 2×2x2 m.
Since this is in the capital of Sweden and we are based in Gothenburg, we put a sign on the floor saying “Greetings from Gothenburg”. Can be seen until 8th of April.

Pascal or James?

Nice contrasts.

Nice creases on the back of the knees.

We survived a week of pasta & jeans production in Italy. We are back in business and happy to announce winner #10 in the Wear & Tear Competition, Pascal from Switzerland!

Pascal, can you please share some hints on how you broke in your Grim Tim Dry Dirt Organic?

Viva Italia!

Photographer Jonas Linell in action on the floor.

Wylie from Australia scraping a pair of Big Bengt to create his own wash.

Last week we gathered our global sales team and jeans experts from our global retail network in Italy to explore our jeans production. We had a great time and we think everyone learned a lot. Did you know that sewing a pair of Nudie Jeans consists of 30 steps, takes 15 minutes and requires 300 meters of thread?

In the Wear & Tear competition we had a special class for people working in stores selling dry Nudie Jeans. We invited the winners to see the production, make their own wash and show their jeans in photo shoot on location in the laundry. More pics to come.

Winner #8 – Dirkie from Belgium

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

What's in that pocket?

Nice creases.

Congrats Dirkie from Belgium. A worthy winner even though his Slim Jim Organic Dry Ecru Embo haven’t been washed yet.

From Dirkie’s presentation:

“don’t intend to wash them, because fading is just now becoming good,… pity would like wash them before competition end, but the fading is not satisfied yet, they are real hard to break in”

You are right. But please send us a pic when you have washed them.

The snow trick.
