Human rights gallery for the benefit of Amnesty International
EVER SINCE Nudie Jeans was founded in 2001 we have worked closely with Amnesty International in Sweden. When we decided to do something to symbolize human rights it was natural to do so in consultation with Amnesty.
In 2007 we launched a project together with our representatives around the world. They were assigned to ask performers, photographers and artists to illustrate an article from the UN declaration of human rights. 30 illustrations were chosen which later was printed onto t-shirts
ALL THE DESIGNERS who took part in this project donated their work in favour of Amnesty.
This was a non-profit-making project. For every T-shirt sold, 100 SEK (around 11 euro) was donated in full towards Amnesty’s work. The project has generated 350 000 euro for the benefit of Amnesty International.
