Shinya Mills knows their stuff. With Ace selvage, they recreated this selvage by analyzing a worn-in pair of jeans from the 50s. Uneven slubby yarns were standard during the 40s and 50s due to limited yarn-spinning possibilities. It may look crude or too rustic. But over time, washing and wearing reveal a chunky and beautiful salt and pepper texture. The result is amazing — a celebration of denim's imperfect perfection.

  2. We recommend a healthy dose of daily wear and no wash for six months for all dry denim. That is if you're going for the look of a unique worn-in second skin.

During this journey, your stiff drys will take on the character of a second skin. Indigo rubs off in areas exposed to you and your life. Sometimes you may feel like giving up. But relax; your part is pretty simple — make the most of the journey, enjoy, and trust the process.
