They’ve been referred to as Nudie Boys when they are out DJing, a name they didn’t pick themselves. The would rather be called just David & Mathias or Mathias & David. When they’re not coordinating our Online Shop, they travel the breadths of Gothenburg, with their records, spreading love and beautiful music to dancing teenagers of all ages.
Mathias: “We’ve been DJing together since we worked at the Vallgatan Repair Shop together.”
David: “Yeah, about four years. I was his boss, I hired Mathias.”

What type of tunes do you guys drop on your audience?
Mathias: “Depends on where we’re spinning, but 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and assorted indie hits.”
David: “We are like a bag of pick and mix. We play whatever we feel like.“
Mathias: “But, we focus on the classics. If the vibe is right, we don’t mind putting on a hip hop tune or two to get the crowd going.”

What makes the perfect night in the club?
David: “Great people dancing, smooth drinks and us playing the evergreens.”
Mathias: “Can we say drinks?”

The dance floor is packed, what song kills it? It doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad song.
David: “Mathias knows a lot about this.”
Mathias: “I’ve got a thing for power ballads, but not everyone is on the same page. However Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” kills most dancefloors. Or makes it packed; it could go either way.”

Mathias: “Sam Cooke’s Twistin’ the Night Away never goes wrong.”
David: “Or “Shout by the Isley Brothers.”
