Our Australian team was in Jakarta recently. Together with Standard Denim Supply we launched the Australasian exclusive Tilted Tor ‘Dry Indigofera Ocean’ – which is sold out (sorry if you’re only finding out about this one now!). During the event we also had on the spot repairs with vintage Union Special machine, live chalk murals by local artist Edrin Mol, a live acoustic set by local hero David Bayu aka. the Dave Grohl of Indonesia (we were told), giveaways and of course there were refreshments on offer.
All this whilst promoting how Nudie Jeans is getting the balance right – the importance of a sustainable and ethically produced garment, non-toxic denim, how we work with living wages and why be believe wearing and repairing is so important. That said, we hope you haven’t missed that we are operating repair stations in more locations than ever? Or that we are on tour with mobile repair stations?
This event was part of the the ongoing global project “Get The Balance Right” held at Standard Denim Supply Co. in Plaza Senayan, Jakarta. See some of highlights here.
Thank you again to all those who came through on the day and to all our partners who continue to help us spread this very important message and to our friends at Standard Denim Supply for this opportunity to take over your space.
