They say that all good things come to an end, but ''til death do us part'' are words we don't understand. Because we let denim live forever. When the curtains of the second hand, the third, fourth, or whatever the circus close, the show must go on. So, it is with great pleasure that we present the next act of our jeans' life cycle: Mats Recycled Rug. This beautiful rag rug is the result of a cooperation with River Rugs in Australia. We share the same passion - to make high-quality, long-lasting products. Each rug is handmade through and through. From cutting the denim strips to weaving on wooden floor looms – a knowledge handed down for generations - to the final touches with attaching the edge bindings and the labels. The weave has a diagonal ribbing pattern reminding of a denim twill. Making one rug requires approximately 40 pairs of old jeans. It's so satisfying to see how they've been given a new life, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of genuine craftsmanship and fading indigo for many more years.
