Description

Regular fit work shirt made in 7.1 oz—Japanese selvage denim. The denim is woven with yarns made from a cotton and bamboo mix. The bamboo fiber is made from the bamboo stem and has a woodier hand, much like flax. This has generated a denim fabric with an extraordinary look and hand - lightweight but sturdy with a neppy and fuzzy surface - rather splendid fabric for a dry denim shirt. The Sven work shirt features two chest pockets and twin needle chain stitch construction. If you ask us, Sven is a good example of how a good work shirt should fit - it is roomy enough for layering up with a long sleeve t-shirt if needed but fitted enough not to get too loose. The shirt is sewn with off-white thread with medium thread thickness and short stitch length to achieve a well-crafted construction, which is on par with how the best work shirts were made back in the day. The solid white selvage-id has been utilized exceptionally well in the making of this shirt - not only can it be found at the inside of the front placket, but it has also been used at the inside pocket hem, the inside sleeve placket, and the side gussets. Beautiful and as utilitarian as the use of selvage were back in the day. Due to the bamboo content in the denim, this shirt will initially feel a bit itchy. But with wearing the protruding bamboo fibers on the inside will wear off, and the comfort will increase. As with all dry denim, we recommend at least 6 months of daily wear before the first wash. This is, of course, only a recommendation. Washing earlier and more frequently also renders great results, but make sure to either hand wash or use a gentle washing machine cycle. As long as you take care of your denim, it will, in turn, reward you with an evolving patina that very well might render the best looking washed denim you will ever have.
