Jeans made in natural indigo dyed 15.25 oz. rigid selvage denim from the legendary American denim mill Cone Mills White Oak in Greensboro, North Carolina. These jeans are a replica and the original belonged to Ben whom, apart from being a great person, also breaks in denim like a champ. During the break-in process, he liked to brag about the special warm, blue-green shade that you get from dying with natural indigo. Now you can do too! And you get this fantastic, authentic worn-in look without getting your hands dirty. As these jeans are a replica we have carefully replicated the wear, tear and repairs found on Ben’s jeans. Tears and repairs can be found on and below the back pockets, just as on Ben’s jeans.
As much as these jeans are a homage to Ben’s jeans they are regretfully also a homage to the Cone Mills White Oak plant and all who worked there. This as the plant in December 2017 seized operations, an end of over 110 years of US selvage denim production. We are proud to offer these jeans and like to thank everyone involved in the making of the selvage denim that went into making these jeans.
