Let’s make climate great again!

We want to offset your jeans.

Let’s make climate great again - we want to offset your jeans.

To truly understand our climate impact, we need to know more about how you are using your Nudie Jeans.

Believe it or not, although being a Gothenburg established brand based in one of the wet and cold corners of the world, we still like our climate. We like the contrasts of the seasons, the way summers cool off as the damp airstreams quietly slides in from the west coast and stretches like a blanket of Swedish melancholy across fields, forests, lakes and cities, for miles and miles. Sometimes we might yearn for shorter winters without grey slush puppy covered streets, but even if we could, we wouldn't want to change it for anything in the world. Because this is our home and natural habitat, the place we come from and a part of who we are.

Science shows that we are changing our climate and we need to take action.

We are ready to wrap things up for 2019. Among other things, Nudie Jeans will remember this as the year we decided to stand face to face with the climate impact challenge. We've joined the newly established network Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action (STICA), founded to support the textile sector in mapping all of their CO2 emissions within the value chain and reduce their greenhouse gases in line with the 1.5 C warming pathway. During 2019 we've gathered emissions data to offset both Scope 1 and Scope 2, and the collection of emissions data for Scope 3 has also initiated. This includes mapping our consumers user habits, which would help us to aggregate data for all of our indirect emissions and offset every pair of Nudie Jeans.

- Scope 1 Direct CO2 emissions

- Scope 2 Electricity indirect CO2 emissions

- Scope 3 Other indirect CO2 emissions
