Black Selvage & black raw denim

That black raw denim, and selvage, won’t fade the same way indigo does. The black dye penetrates the fiber all the way through, making it almost impossible to get the same contrast in black selvage as with indigo. You could get some moustaches and honeycombs and such, but when washing black denim, the color will fade and make it grey.
