What’s the deal with washed jeans?

Black washed jeans, blue washed jeans, vintage washed jeans, light washed jeans: you name it, they all started off as a pair of drys. True story. So how do we inject that characteristic Nudie Jeans look into the fits you know and love? It’s called washing, baby. Let’s start off with the simplest of denim washes, the rinse. Rinsing boosts comfort by removing starch and gently modifying the denim's texture and color. Next up: stone washing. A stonewash uniformly abrades jeans, giving them a brighter tone. Lastly: an authentic worn-in wash. Unlike stone washing, a worn-in wash resembles a worn-in pair of jeans, typically featuring a faded tone, abrasions, and contrasting wear marks.
