Black Selvage

That black raw, selvage, won’t fade the same way indigo does. The black penetrates the fiber all the way through, making it almost impossible to get the same contrast in black selvage. You could get some moustaches and honeycombs and such, but when washing black denim, the color will fade and make it grey.
