All Nudie Jeans denim can be worn by men and women. We started out primarily as a menswear brand but our jeans also fit a female body as the Nudie Jeans family of fits is unisex. Nudie Jeans offers jeans for men and women from tight to the more relaxed fits in several washes from dry, black to pre washed denim. We’re constantly extending and evolving our range to ensue we are a denim brand for both men and women. Now we’re increasing our female focus even more. With insight from our denim specialists in our Repair Shops around the globe and the same insight from our online shop we’ve noticed that most women tend to go for our tighter fits such as Skinny Lin or Tight Terry. Then we have Lean Dean (featured above) for those who are looking for a slim to regular fit. But there are no restrictions, everyone has their favourite fit, regardless of gender. With our Nudie Jeans Women selection, we introduced two new family members to the family of fits; Breezy Britt and Hightop Tilde. These jeans are specifically designed for a female body. Hightop Tilde has a high waist and is skinny all the way to the ankle. Breezy Britt has a more relaxed fit. And they are available in several washes. Even Nudie Jeans Women can be worn by men and women – after all, it’s the fit that matters. On each product page we have a great measurement/comparison tool also known as the Virtual Size Guide (find it under the “BUY”-button). This tool allows you to measure your favourite pair of jeans at home and then compare them to our jeans. This way you are given an idea of what size and fit to choose from our collection if you don’t have a Nudie Jeans Repair Shop or retailer nearby.
We are proud to introduce you to Breezy Britt, a classic, regular tapered fit, ideal for effortless movement. The newest member to the family of fits also has a high waist and a curved waistband (so that it sits great at the top). Wear it your size for a roomier feel or downsize and wear it hight and tight for a slimmer look.
Nudie Jeans Women is a curated selection of timeless jeans and tops. All our jeans are unisex and worn by men and women, boys and girls, and everyone in between. As a part of the Fall 2018 collection, we introduce Nudie Jeans Women – a new selection that includes tops, jackets, and jeans. Along with the denim selection, we are able to present an all-new fit in ‘Breezy Britt’ which is a regular tapered fit, and the previously introduced ‘Hightop Tilde’ fit in two new washes to compliment the previous ‘Hightop Tilde’ range released in the Spring 2018 collection. We sometimes end up with jeans that don’t meet our quality requirements. Those products with minor imperfections – seconds – are still usable. So, we took care of those odd pairs, cut them and present you this piece of up-cycled denim. The off-cuts (legs) go back in to the loop as raw material for future recycle products. By shortening the legs of our production seconds into shorts, we are saving resources, extending the life of existing garments and minimizing waste in the process. Also, shorts are awesome. Since 2012, the entire denim collection from Nudie Jeans has been made from 100% organic cotton and all Nudie jeans are sold with a promise of free repairs at all Nudie Jeans Repair Shops around the world. Nudie Jeans is also a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, an independent non-profit organization that, together with companies and factories, aims to constantly improve the working conditions of employees in the factories. The use of organic cotton leads to long-term sustainability for both the workers and the ecosystem. For example, the soil where the cotton grows can be used for other crops in between cotton harvests, which is not the case with conventional cotton where the soil becomes toxic and, in the end, impoverished. This is the ‘short-shorts’ story.
This is our very own Richard. His pair of Loose Leif (fit no longer available – see similar fits here) jeans were worn for 8 months before the first wash and what we love in this story is that you see the life he leads: worn knees from the sandbox, coffee stains from his favorite café and beautiful fades from the everyday usage as a first-time dad. Richard came to the office in the very pair you see featured and we swiftly roped him into the studio for a spontaneous shoot – the true beauty of Richard’s story can be seen vividly here in the whiskers, repairs, and fades that were collected over the first 8 months of usage. Admittedly, there’s also a really nice story about how this pair of Loose Leif (fit no longer available – view similar fits) became Richard’s go-to everyday denims. “You asked me during the photo session if I had any sort of special memory in Loose Leif and it really got me thinking about why I actually wanted to own these jeans. Loose Leif are my dad-jeans. I bought them about 7 months before my daughter was born, sort of picturing how I would wear them at the playground and so on. Loose Leif turned out to be the perfect choice for playground action with its regular waist and straight leg – and they’re a pair you can be comfortable on your knees in. So for me, buying my dad-jeans was in a way mental preparation for the life changing event of becoming a father. I also liked the idea of breaking them in during the pregnancy and symbolically washing and cleaning them right before my daughter arrived, giving her a clean and soft denim knee to rest in.” – Richard A nice story and a beautiful pair of worn-in selvage jeans. Lagom is a Swedish word for ‘just the right amount’. It’s our version of Yin and Yang. The fire and the water in every Swedes life. Nudie Jeans is based on an idea. This idea is in turn composed of several concepts, beliefs, and a good portion of old fashioned fighting spirit. The pursuit of doing the opposite was one of the main reasons the brand got started, although not an end in itself. It was rather the passion for dry denim that pointed the brand in that direction. The raw, untreated fabric had at the time been falling into oblivion, and it wasn’t sought after by the public. Nudie Jeans’ environmental philosophy was present even before the first collection was designed. Back then, organic cotton had been around for a while, but more or less as a fly-by. The demand for these fabrics was on the decrease. The supply followed. Yet another opportunity to do the opposite. Driven by conviction and determination, the process for an all-organic denim brand took off. The share of sustainable materials increased over the years, and since 2012 all Nudie Jeans denim is made with 100% organic cotton. The most environmentally friendly would be if we all went naked, cultivated our own food, and asked our gut for advice instead of a Silicon Valley based oracle. Our environmental policy doesn’t reach that far. We still make jeans. It’s our passion. And it’s 2018. But we made the choice to manufacture our product in a fair and ethical way. An opportunity every company is given, but too few take. Our jeans are not designed to be used a few times and then thrown away. We cherish the well-worn and mended. Jeans that become a part of ourselves when worn a long time – a second skin. A pair of dry denim jeans is the materialised version of our values: No extra treatment or washes. Well, we had many good reasons to do so this particular Sunday, as we had the honor of hosting a very special talent, namely Sarah Klang. Our lunchroom was literally turned into a music hall in a matter of hours. As the production team put all the final adjustments in place for the live stream, there was a particular buzz that filled the room before Sarah and her band were to take over our Facebook and Youtube channels. It's hard to describe the amount of anticipation at this point in the evening - it's a Sunday, and we're at work with a Swedish Grammy-nominated artist about to go live. 'Nuff said, the concert was mesmerizing, and we are glad we can now share it with you. Thank you, Sarah, for making this a very special evening for us - and congratulations on your No.1 album, "Love In The Milky Way"! Welcome to the latest Nudie Jeans Repair Shop – In the heart of Amsterdam.
It all starts with a pair of drys – there is a process involved and you decide how far they go. That very process is a journey. No matter what your jeans looked like when you bought them, they all started out as a pair of dry denim. Those pre-washed and pre-distressed favourites of yours may appear to have been to hell and back, but from the beginning they were all dark indigo denim. We wanted to share some images below of Nudie Jeans owned and used by a drummer, an IT-expert, a skater and an E-commerce wizard. (Nudie Jeans used by: Axel, Martin, Jonas and Edwin) It has long been publicised and written about that Nudie Jeans are all about the journey. What happens when you use your favourite set of denim daily? The truth is that it all depends on you. Your lifestyle can present an entirely different break in journey and the results are completely personal. Breaking in your drys should last about six months, the outcome depends on how you travel. Some words from our designer Johan Lindstedt below before we leave you to embark on your journey: “If you want to achieve good looking jeans, you need to work on it, you can’t just sit on your ass all day. Crawl on the floor, go out to pubs; you really need to let them into your personal life.”
